It seems the desire to paint is an innate quality of many artists that just find it necessary to create. If you're lucky, you'll have people in your life who encourage, nurture and facilitate this desire. Ultimately, watercolor is where I landed. My painting style has an illustrative component with an emphasis on realism. I enjoy the process of creating a composition, working from photographs and sometimes combining multiple photos into one piece.
These works reflect a wide range of subjects that I am attracted to. Inspiration comes from different places and different seasons. In the meantime, I continue to challenge myself with detailed subjects while trying to capture the play of light and the nuances of color in something common, natural or unexpected.
