I’m a born and raised Michigander originally from Greenville, Michigan. I have lived in St. Joseph, Michigan for over 40 years. From early childhood I knew I wanted to be an artist and dabbled with various mediums before discovering the joy of watercolor over 25 years ago.
My painting style has an illustrative component with an emphasis on realism.
I’m interested in a wide range of subjects, but especially nature and frogs! I work from photographs and attempt to capture the moment, the play of light and shadow, and the nuances of color. I especially like applying the finishing details of a painting!
I have had several one woman exhibits and have been accepted into many juried art shows . I also teach watercolor workshops when time permits. I enjoy painting commissions of pets, home portraits, and a variety of other subjects.
I am a member of Chartreuse Art Gallery, a gallery featuring the artwork of local artists in beautiful downtown St. Joseph, Michigan! Chartreuse is a co-operative art gallery, jointly owned and operated by all its members. Stop in soon to 304 State Street to see a wide variety of art!
I am a member of the Berrien Artist Guild at the Box Factory for the Arts in St . Joseph, Michigan
